Description

This course will introduce students to a variety of contemporary American literature published within the last five years. We will be reading poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction with a special focus on UGA authors and work published by small and independent presses. Several writers will be present for class discussion either in person or via Skype. Requirements will likely include short bi-weekly response papers and two longer analytical papers. Readings include work by Kelly Link, Anne Boyer, Morgan Parker, Ed Pavlic, Will Walton, Laird Hunt, CAConrad, and Catherine Taylor.
